2.1 You give us directly
- Name, phone number, and pincode when you request a consultation or callback.

2.2 We collect automatically
- Device and browser information, approximate location (derived from IP), and pages visited on https://powerten.in.

2.3 From third parties
- Installer partners may share installation milestones and site-survey notes with us to deliver your order.
- Analytics and anti-spam providers share aggregated, non-personal signals about site usage.
3. Why we process your data
We process personal data for the following purposes:
- To respond to your consultation or quote request.
- To size, manufacture, install, service, and warranty the Powerten product you order.

4. Legal basis
Under the DPDP Act, we process your data on the basis of your consent (for marketing, cookies other than strictly necessary, and optional analytics) or for “legitimate uses” as defined in the Act — chiefly performance of a contract with you, compliance with law, and employer / business-to-business interactions.
5. How we share your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Authorised installer partners and service engineers strictly to fulfil your order.
- Payment processors, shipping couriers, and warranty/insurance partners under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Cloud and IT service providers (hosting, analytics, email) headquartered in India or abroad, bound by data-processing agreements consistent with the DPDP Act.
- Courts, regulators, and law-enforcement authorities where required by law.
Where data is transferred outside India, we rely on contractual safeguards and DPDP Act-compliant transfer mechanisms.
6. Retention
We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the service you requested and thereafter to meet statutory, warranty, and accounting obligations (typically 8 years for tax records; up to 12 years for warranty service records on installed systems). You may request earlier deletion subject to those legal requirements.
7. Your rights as a Data Principal
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction and erasure of inaccurate or no-longer-needed data.
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.

No system is perfectly secure; please use strong passwords and notify us immediately if you suspect misuse.
